An unorthodox letter, for a special lady.

Patience is running thin--
Waiting on the imperfect clouds to go away,
Wanting to fish the creeks with you,
While we watch the grass sway.
My tongues tied &
I have not one more syllable to say,
So I’ll write you down something
About how I feel today.




Dear Sarah,

Tell me your paradise
& I’ll take you there.
Is it a place that’s populated with palm trees &
Not one petty little care?

No, I take back that promise
& replace it with a swear.

Love,

The boy who needs you to say “I love you”
& when you are no where in sight…
Say it again!
Let it slip through your tongue,
slide across these empty streets,
& slither slowly into my hungry ear.
Your voice my darling,
Brings good news I’d rather hear.

Sarah Frances...Weve been together for almost a year. We met through a mutual friend at mcdonalds and I bought her an ice coffee haha romantic huh? Well she stole my hat that day only to get me to come back and get it later, but not only did she steal my hat but she stole my heart. I wanted to write something unique and slightly abstract as an ode to her.
