my heart is full and colored
when we venture alone to places
that you don’t know because
you speak a different language
and anybody can tell you’re
not from ’round here
and that i don’t know because
i’ve lived nineteen years
of luxurious hell just to find you
so i never paid attention
to where i was walking.
i love it when you gaze into my eyes
and make me wonder if maybe
you saw a shooting star there
and since you don’t believe in wishes
you wanted to catch it before
it would hit the earth and smash
to celestial bits.
i love it when we joke around,
compare ourselves to baby-cats
with blurry sight, too young
to have ever felt cold; when you
read the ingredients of my soda
to make sure it’s okay though
you know it isn’t. how you refill
my glass before i can refuse
the much-needed beauty of your gift.
how you press the cork against my skin,
make sure to leave a mark
that you’ve been the king of this land
and the most touching thing is
when i get too distracted
with the scent of reciprocity
to realize that it is
you-you-you
and i’m the luckiest person alive.

I ADOREd the last line, i wasnt too sure about the beginning, but it improved throughout and a wonderful conclusive line at the end. That is how its done. Nice!
