Faith

I feel you walking beside me,
But your face I cannot see.
The blazing sun shines in my eyes,
And I walk blindly by your side.

I do not even know your name,
But I follow anyway.
Something deep within my soul
Is telling me that I know.

I wish that I could understand
Why You've lead me to where I am.
Walking down an empty road,
A million miles from my home.

Yet I do not seem to mind,
It's like I've know You my whole life.
But who am I and who are You,
That I should trust You like I do?

You are the Word, You are the Name
That will save me from this place.
You are the heart, You are the Soul
of everything I know.
You are the Sword, you are the Sheild,
You are the feelings that I feel.
You are the Word, You are the Name,
You are the pinnacle of Faith.

And so I travel down this road,
Getting lost the more I go.
And yet you turn me back around,
And get me back on solid ground.

Yet when the stars fill up the sky,
I still sometimes question why
You have lead me to where I am
And why I hold onto your hand.

Because I do not know your name,
But I follow anyway.
And something deep within my soul
Is telling me that I know.

You are the Word, You are the Name
That will save me from this place.
You are the heart, You are the Soul
of everything I know.
You are the Sword, you are the Sheild,
You are the feelings that I feel.
You are the Word, You are the Name,
You are the Lord, my Saving Grace.

And I though I do not know your name,
I will follow anyway,
For something deep within my soul,
Knows that you will take me home.
