A ferret crossed weasel
A spine less little freak
That makes twittering noises
A snoring bear
An aardvark chicken
you are what monks napped with
After morning prayer
You have a flexing old chap
That bounces off the floor
And big bulging eyes
You see the world as a fish in a bowl
Coughing for food
And wiggling for bedtime
Your master of our universe
For you are called Zaphod
I paid an unspeakable sum
For a dog that isn't even a dog
You are our aardvark
Our baby chicken man
We call you names
But only in jest
You were my first dog
And will never be replaced
You are so special to me

After morning prayer
Pugs are a very ancient breed that monks used to keep. My partner likes to nap with him, and I've always imagined the monks doing the same hahaha My pug is also called Zaphod, master of the universe from The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy 1980's series and books.
I also did pay a lot of money for the little guy, a grand total of a grand!!!!! hope you like the weirdness we have in our house everyday hahaha

he is absolutely wonderful! he is so cute...im not even a fan of pugs but he is the cutest thing ive ever seen ever....i have a long haired chihuahua and he cost me total of a grand too but he is the light of my life and i love him. this was great

Heh, I really like "baby chicken man." He really looks like that in that photo. I can picture his frantic movements and funny noises so well from reading your poem (and having observed similar dogs in real life). Nice one.
