Blood infused with health and vitality
Atoms pulsing with energy
drawn from the roots of inner wisdom
Integral serenity washes the body
and mind clean from ignorance and disease
Through neglect...
Sickness invades and irradicates
without knowledge to heal
Yet universal inherent knowledge
bestowed by impulse through stars
and creative urge ensures that
spaces inheritance and love
are ours from the beginning
So that when...
A hand encloses a silver blade
and slices it through pliant wood
an object of beauty is formed
Such talent is not learned but born
Preceeding time...
Wisdom to see arises with experience
Life school nurtures with its mirror
offering galaxies of treasure
Incalculable and indelible...
Fingerprints etched within my psyche
ensure my whole simply knows
yet enhancement through discipleship
is profound enough to reinvent me
drawing me closer to myself
And magical growth...
Trees are gracious
freely giving substance for books
Beautiful, astounding books
that help me to grow
Professors and all teachers
graciously guide those seeking
The ones thirsty for knowledge
Hungry students...
And teachers may be taught far more for
they are reminded and are open minded

a journey
A quest here seems in a perpetual search for learning
and enlightenment of the self through
the open portal of minds and creations mysteries.
We live, we see, we learn, we move on with the rhythm
of life...touching earth, fire and water and then the intangible soul...

The first stanzas are almost ethereal, more mystical in tone. The poem grows more accessible when you move to the tangible (like the hand knows how to wield the knife from beyond time). The philosophical reflection here is lovely, touching on the outer and inner realities of existence, the importance of knowing self, but finding teachers and using discipline, to truly learn.
