Lazarus

The beach looked dead
Like a strang gray thing
The ocean looked dead too
Dead gray waves hissing mordantly
Amid its devestation
A breath of life in the morning air
Made me thing of Lazarus
Brought back to life
By the touch of God

Gradually beacons of light
Pierce the sky
Like one instrument after another
tentively rehearsing
Reflections of these colored slivers
In the sky shown
on the tips of waves
The beach; white and stainless
as pure as the shores of Eden

I saw dawn for the first time
As a gorgeous fanfare
over the ocean

Mornings are too full of beauty
I know of too much hate to be contained in a world like this
My mind exploring
the new dimensions of
Isolation around me
A single sustaining thought;
Suicide

Branches of tree's,
either half-de-nuded
or completely gaunt.
Any fear I have ever had
was nothing compared to this
I began climbing
up to the limb high over the bank
with unthinking sureness
I moved out on the limb
and jumped

Every trace of my fear
forgotten

There are some spelling errors. Perhaps you could change the background to make it more interesting. Good concept and it's well written. Great job. Good luck and thanks for entering my contest.
