Philly's Story

Her majestic body,
Lay sprawled across the window sill.
Her stunning hazel eyes,
That always seem to be watching you,
Stare lazily out the window,
Watching the grass sway with the wind.
She flexes her claws,
As to let you know they are there,
But she will keep them in,
As long as she is happy.
Her ears perked up,
Listening to secrets and words,
Only she can hear.
Her tail sway silently,
Back and forth.
Her pupils slim slits as she watches the sun.
A small "meow" escapes her lips,
As she turns around and jumps down from her perch.
She pads in quietly,
Leaving me unaware,
That she is at my feet.
Until she jumps up,
Making me spill my milk.
And she looks at me as if to say,
"Don't you dare cry over spilled milk!".
