Take it in Stride

Walk along that straight path
Strolling hand-in-hand, side-by-side
Each with a different parallel structure...
With the sun at our back, they turn to hide

The world and the blind living within
Just moving along, forward at best
Open your eyes and see it's a new day...
Saving the few, leaving out all the rest

They will get what's coming to them
They are taken by Him who binds
Simply because they do not believe...
So narrow your step and broaden the mind

Knowledge is power and strength is a plus
So learn what you  can, because this is just a test
To that which is needed, a light in the dark...
Learn from your heart so the mind  can be it's nest

Author notes

So this one time, I was in third grade; gym class and a fat kid don't necessarily mix; anyway, I was jumping rope for a contest with some other kid from my class, and a crowd had gathered, pants fall, Laughing ensues.

4x2x1

New concept, trying to figure it out.

Give it a shot

Tell me what you think; Honestly now.

I actually really like this poem. I like the idea behind it the most I'd have to say; I truely do agree that knowledge is power. I've always said there are two kinds of people; those with their eyes closed, and those with their eyes open.

Great job, love the word choice.
