Clinging and clawing
just to hang on
She tries to survive
Her want to keep going
Her desire to live
it comes from him
His love for her
the safety net
She risks it all
to climb
to thrive
to be worthy of his love
Her fear of falling
unparalleled
calmed by him
She's ready to jump
She's willing to fall
courageously and foolishly
in love with him
Scared and frightened
she is safe in his arms
His soothing voice
quiets her fears
and fills her empty spaces
cold and dark
his warm eyes
draw the chill from her heart
His love
chases her darkness away
Author notes
This was written quite a long time ago. I don't remember when it was written it but I kind of like it even though it is a little choppy. That is just my style I guess

Choppy indeed. The theme here seems to rock back and forth between the unhealthy and obsessive side of the relationship and the joy it brings, however temporary it may be. Again, the lack of punctuation makes it a bit confusing, but ultimately I like that because it really captures the confusion of a relationship like the one you illustrate here. Very insightful.
