Dark Joy

The lion mounts the wildibeast,
whose horns are impotently rendered
by the weight of the surprise,
shocked and awed into wide eyes
by penetrating claws,
and the warm mouth around her neck.
Open mouthed and squealing,
she goes down without much a fight.

prompt (quote) "It looks much like ecstacy, the way they open their mouths as they drown."
