A new face,
a new desire,
a new distraction.
Fool myself
into believing
that this sensation
is more than lust.
I'll fool you, too
and you'll trust me.
I'll pull you into the water
let the tide sweep you away
you're in my world now.
Your vulnerability is tempting.
The desire
helps me lose my responsibility
in your guilt.
See the conflict in my blue
tortured
eyes
as I watch you
drown in your own innocence.

This is a unique poem. I enjoyed it. Not quite sure how the title fits it but otherwise it was an enjoyable read. Thanks for entering and thanks for sharing.

Brilliant. The water imagery was excellent. This could almost work for Mira when she's in her lusty lust mode (but you're much more complex than Mira, don't worry). The honesty is refreshing the title is X-Files level titling (the second highest titling honor I can give)
