Simply superb Andrew. This one is amazing. So far my favorite that I have read today. Truly a beautiful little scene that I could picture so vividly.

This is really cool the comparison... It reminds me of a picture I saw of the US taken from the space shuttle or the space station during the big black out last year... You don't realize how much light we create until they are shut off... It was really cool....Nice Haiku...Susan

    Excellent

    Hi Andrew:
When you look at the skyline of a big city from far off, the sky lights up like the moon rising, yet still out of sight and stars twinkling just on the horizon. Excellent write. Thanks.

Interesting concept and beautifully done in a very tight haiku. Keep it up!

Andrew. In my many years of business airplane travel, quite often at night, I recall seeing the lights of distant towns and cities. They did seem to twinkle.Nicely done.Bill.

When you walk at night at the edge of a valley it looks like the sky has been turned over and when you look at a refinery all lit up it looks like manhatten. Your poem shows one more look of lights seen at a distance. a succinctly painted picture.
