My Mom !

 My Mom:

W. Peter Sanci

She was always there in our time of need.
The first to show us how to love, by her every deed.
Taught us how to live our lives.
She never questioned us or our motives.
Mom was always there, to help us with our homework.
It was very nice to come home from school to milk and
Cookies, and mom’s little happy smirk.
Our mom was loved by everybody in the neighbourhood.
All of our friends used to love to come over to our house for for her homemade baked goods.

My mom always made my little brother and I feel
Impotant.
Though most of the times she was a tough old sergeant,
She loved us both we could tell.
She never played favorites, though sometimes she would scream and yell.

Ho w can we ever show our love for her ?
Now in her time of need.
Tell her we care for her,
Pg 2

In every thought word and deed.

We lost my mom in 1974 to cancer,
I remember the night she died so well.
We all miss her so much, that it still hurts to say her name.
She would do anything for you, as long as you didn’t play games.
As long as you told her the truth, you and you didn’t sound too lame.
She hated lies and liers both equally the same.

So now you know a little bit about the most important
Person in my life my Mom.
Mom I love you I hope you like this poem I wrote for you today.
Please keep a space open in heaven next to you I pray.

  • Its so sad when I read about mommies that lost the cancer battle. I'm so sorry and I'm sure she is in heaven smiling down at you every moment!!!

  • I lost my mom to cancer, too. I certainly can relate to this. My condolences. Tom
