I stayed, I waited, patience paid its due,
A love I had, still have, and still feels new.
Apart from her, another battle was being fought,
One that for a moment would never end, I thought.
One year and one half has gone by and my battle is won,
The knot is untied, she has signed, it is done.
Now I go forward, with the one I love so strongly,
Knowing, that I am now fully hers, and not wrongly.
The signing day was a sweet feeling in the clouded sky's,
The sun snuck through, and one, but two rainbows filled my eyes.
A promise, no two, my life is now mine, and I can sore,
My Minx can now rest, I am free, I am hers, bound no more.
My Minx and I and our two boys, a real family of our own,
Free to continue, recover and grow from the winds blown.
I now have two promises, one to not go through that again,
The other, my Minx, my boys, its done, no more pain.
I have my Minx, my love, the one who has my heart,
The one who if I knew long ago, would have from the start.
Although the battle is over, the war is not yet won,
Minx and I, now want my son.
