I found a hole that lead inside
Of course I wormed my way
To the deepest parts
I found the secrets that I already knew
The secrets for which I didn't want to care
I was told the truths that I didn't want to hear
That I didn't want to know
Does it bother you that I am aware?
All those things you try to hide
From your very own eyes
What if I told you
About all those terrible things
The ones that make you not so perfect
The ones you don't ever want to know
What if I told you about me?
Would you care, or even dare
To know my truths?
The ones that I lay bare
Like my naked body lays in the rain
To soak up whatever purity a mere human can
To make up for all that dirt beneath my skin
The dirt that no one wants to know
Author notes
Yeah, felt an urge, I'll probably come back and edit. Later maybe.
What is your first impression? What do you think?

Hi! It's me, Leah Metivier. I love your poem! ^^ "To soak up whatever purity a mere human can
To make up for all that dirt beneath my skin
The dirt that no one wants to know" That part just makes me go "wow!" :]
