As I swing, yearning to be free,
I pray of my love,
"Tell me what you see.
A girl held back by fear
or a woman trying to be free?"
He laughs with ease and says,
"I see my love, so full of beauty.
Unsure of where her heart lies.
Tempted by passion, but bound by duty."
As I swing between what I dream and what I know,
My imprisonment calls my name,
And visions of running free with my beau
Fly away without me.

The title is iffy I think. What say you?

You ask about the title - it is your choice of course, 'swinging between' could refer to many things, perhaps if anything the title may not do the poem justice.
Your poem is beautiful, well written and uses the prompt excellently bearing in mind how long ago it was painted.
Enjoyed this very much.
Thanks for entering and good luck in the contest.
