Le Petite Prince ( The Little Prince )

Such a lovely little boy falls to Earth
He fell from among the stars...
His beautiful laughter defies the birth
of a million unseen scars.

He talks of his journey and all he did meet,
a business man,a drunk and a king.
A geographer and a man full of conceit,
a lamplighter and the sorrow that brings.

A perfect rose unlike any other flower
thinks she is unique from all that has ever been,
But her fall from power would simply devour her
and she would never be heard from again.

"You are responsible for what you have tamed"
Says he who was so wise, the fox.
"You are only in love with the rose that you named."
You understand the sheep in the box.

"What makes the desert so beautiful
is that somewhere it hides a well..."
and surely after he has left me
I will miss the laughter so much like bells.

And in the end the little prince goes back home
to the little Astoroid B-612  in the sky
and left us with these words before he had gone:

"What is essential is invisable to the eye."

Author notes

This is a poem that centers around my favorite book of all time, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery. Its is a beautiful story that I think anybody could fall in love with. True, It is a childrens book, But you understand it alot better when you are older. I recommend it to anyone who loves a good short story. I made all of my friends read it and they love it too.

The poem needs a little work,I think, But I will probably edit a little bit later. Thanks for the opportunity to write about this book, Sandygram.
