Her skin is pale with frigid frost running deep within her veins
She reaches out to him with all the strength that still remains
He pulls her close and gives her warmth that feeds her dying light
He shushes in her ear “No more my love, don’t fight.”
She rests upon his shoulder and her breathing starts to slow
She whispers back to him “My angel please, don’t let me go.”
She feels the frozen metal pressing cold with angry pain
“You’re going to kill me aren’t you?” she makes her feelings plain
He hugs her once and smiles down without the slightest tear
“It will only sting a little, just hold me tight my dear”
Limp within his arms she listens to his heart
