I spread the night through my days a chaos flies
white serpents of cast away salads like cowherds swim
through my valleys smeared they surge flip off the distant horizon
Copernicus and Galileo told myths of spheres and depths I have learned
this body I had waned inside like dying stems
used to be so beautiful its own eye dry pools absorbing arithmetic
this body believing in bones scurried has taken on a rain chuckled of storms sunbacked rock air soaks up sun
its moan howling in blue
the sand purrs warnings beyond of the law of crumbling things
but when this surprise that love hones sharp edges
passing through old cornices and fence posts
all amputated like blazing machetes roar after parachutes
booming careless freedom down
your curvy its vast expanses so enfurled into the confines of dolphiness
shall feel my wagontrain the wildass cowboy, rose and stem in teeth,
on the happy donkey in front its brays like naked supple knees to potter’s wheel
will not be Jesus
and our vase shall be most lovely

"surprise that love hones sharp edges"
I agree, Beloved...I was quite surprised by your arrival upon my doorstep...& deeply thrilled, besides.
This is an incredible penning, Danny. One that some might not understand...but then, it wasn't penned for those without the keenness of introspection or an abiding faith in the healing powers of Love. I am ever converted by the light within your beautiful eyes, my brilliant husband. Remarkable.
