Chasing her, the butterfly wants the magical ball.
It has a need for more colors in its wings.
She is waiting for a leprechaun to grant her three wishes.
The fairy loves the rain falling before a rainbow.
A pot of gold is more than an idea of at the end of a rainbow.
In order for more fairies to gain more colors in their wings,
This beautiful fairy must get the magical ball to her land.
The leprechaun, a trickster by nature,
May try to trick her and steal the ball away.
So careful, she must be of what she wishes for.
The fairy first wish…
For the butterfly to leave her alone.
The leprechaun is sneaky by his power;
He is hoping she will forget the most important wish…
To make it home with the ball and all of its power.
The fairy desires to spread the colorful magic to the queen of fairyland.
She doesn’t know…
It’s this is an impossible task.
A gathering wind became so strong,
It whispered softly,
‘I am Mother Nature.’
Her hands became cold…
As the fairy lost her grip
And the wind carried it to the waiting hands of Mother Nature.
’O’ delicate tiny fairy, so bold you have been…
How did you take that from me?’
No one has the knowledge to use that magical ball but me.
You are too young and my knowledge is greater
For I am older and wiser than you.’

WONDERFUL!!!!
An enchanting little story!!!

-
A lovely story about a young and naive fairy -- and Mother Nature, who is older than any of the other magical creatures -- I wonder what she does with the ball during the winter here??? Nicely done!
Lita

A nice imaginative story with some quaint imagery
"A gathering wind became so strong it whispered softly
I am mother nature" was the best part I liked..George.
