From tiny blue droplets
I seek serenity in a bottle
Sleep is but a memory
and tranquility its neighbor
Still I swallow them down
Chased with guilt, and fear
waiting, hoping for release
for relief
for anything but this
Trapped within myself
Begging to see the light
Just one more time
Just for an instant
So that I might grasp on
take hold and never let go
But salvation resides with tranquility
And damnations' claws still cradle me
Author notes
Just had a down day.
