I close my eyes
And try not to cry
As memories slip by
I feel a hand in mine
And pressure on my lips
I open my eyes and sigh
There's no one here
Cause no one cares
I'm all alone
I've been told
"There's someone for everyone"
So where's my hand to hold?
Don't I deserve to be happy?
No, it's not my destiny
Not how it's meant to be
So alone I stand
My face in my hands
And tears streak my face

I can definitely relate! Especially where you said, There's someone for everyone, So where's my hand to hold. Absolutely love it, because I feel like that a lot of the time. Especially in the beginning its like the author yearns for it so much, that her imagination is beginning to physically manifest itself - "I feel a hand in mine and pressure on my lips". Like I said...love it
