Thought the journey was long I did not tire
It leads me to the door of you
Though my feet were cut and bleeding
I felt no pain as they lead me to the door of you
My knuckles rapped on the solid door
My legs could carry me no more
I lay in a heap, broken and torn
My will could carry me no more
My tears washed the porch
Your footsteps came to the door
The sight of you gave me strength
To stand and come through the door
Now as I sit in comfort and care
They ask why I’d chance what I did
The only answer I care to give
Love is why I did what I did
