My day bleeds slowly out of night
the moon swoons and falls
and the sun shines its light
sleep arrested for now
waking shows its might
Inside I feel the grief of loss
you were my captor, my savior
my slave and my boss
try to reject this pain
as I carry this cross
I think of you and us from days past
making love in our bed
an explosive fights' blast
evil words thrown
sweet looks cast
tell the truth slowly
and lie to me fast
should have known something so perfect
could just never last
Strangers to soulmates, this heaven to hell
when you died did you love me?
So hard to tell...
illusion or reality,
which shall I sell?
the sweet and the bitter
