I have held you tenderly in my soul
Though you never reached my arms
I bonded with you in that small warm place
While you moved beneath my heart
I wanted so bad to share with you
This world... this wonderful place
to see you take in all the joys
the precious smiles upon your face
If I could..I would... have helped you take
that very first breath of air
Would your eyes be brown, blue or green
and what about your hair?
Questions were asked a hundred times
As I cried out to God in the night
Why did you take my babies from me?
Why couldn't you have given them life?
The answer... I know will come to me
when I cross those very last miles
Into the arms of my darling babes
Waiting with hugs, giggles and smiles
God will hold my hand and tell me soft
I gave them life, my child...don't you see
I blessed them with an eternal life
And they've spent it right here with me...

Your pain, descriptions, and most importantly- your topic, crushed me. I'm truly sorry you went through that, but I'm glad your faith in God allows you to know you'll see them one day. Kudos for being strong.

Beautiful
Misty,
This touched my heart so very deeply. You have written such a beautiful piece.. and though you may not be holding them now.. they are safe and someday... as the bride of Christ, you will hold them again. I will read more soon. I am headed to bed. In Christ. Blessings. Debby
