Verse #1
What can I do, to stop the madness,
To ease the pain? To wash this burden clean?
I’d ask if it would ever be enough…
Don’t turn away; you’re the only thing,
That keeps this heart from tearing, from wearing to none
Chorus
The day your eyes meet mine,
I’ll swallow my envy
But until that time,
Just wait for me
Verse #2
It may never be enough, but I know you’re here
Don’t turn away; you’re the only thing,
That keeps this heart from tearing, from wearing to none
Chorus
The day your eyes meet mine,
I’ll swallow my envy
But until that time,
Just wait for me
I can’t be worth your light,
Such a price to pay
But for you, I’d find my way
Bridge
Lust to its fullest, beauty itself
In your shadow I wander, choke on every word,
Wondering how long I must wait for you
I know you’re here
Chorus
The day your eyes meet mine,
I’ll swallow my envy
But until that time,
Just wait for me
I can’t be worth your light,
Such a price to pay
But for you, I’d find my way
It may never be enough, but these scars can heal

this is wonderful...such a soft feel to it.
It has to be great with a music...
Good job

Liked your poem a lot, particularly the chorus not terribly offa with music but I do like your words.
Good luck.

This is only the second one I read, but everytime I do I seem to hear the music playing in the background. I really loved the chorus. Ecspecially the part "the day your eyes meet mine, I'll swallow my evny". It just stuck out to me for some reason and there is something special about it. do you sing or record your songs at all?

i wanna record my stuff, and put up links to them, but i need a recording system first (n) and my band is looking for a singer still, so other than those two things nothing is stoppin us from puttin some upp

That would be great! If you could start out small even by just recording with a computer or cassette tape. Also when things get going for your band and all, try posting videos everywhere...myspace, youtube, many people have been noticed that way. Good Luck! You can do anything you put your mind to!
