Siren Sounds

They whisper to me, softly down
the ever rising waves,
smiling, and singing ther tender
ocean songs.
They jump like fish out of water
placing their cool, misty lips upon mine.
Their hands run through my hair,
and their arms rest around my waist.
I wish to hold them back, but when I reach for them
they laugh and blow away,
fading into the seas raging winds.
"Come", they chant luring me closer with their songs.
They swim beneath me
hair flowing, eyes peircing, lips waiting
Part of me is reluctant but the other is willing.
Something about their beauty, their lust,
their intriguing song, their whispers, something is evil.
Something frightens me. "Come" they softly sin.
I can feel my foot moving forward, but my brain is saying no.
They laugh and giggle.
They reach for me know,
and I can not resist.
One side of me pulls away,
and the other falls prey.
Their song turns to screeching
filling the afternoon air.
A dark mist surrouds me,
and I feel......I feel........
"Come", they whisper, Their beauty, their kiss.
The water below me begins to rise,
(or I begin to sink).
My mind is cleared of all other thoughts, but their whispers.
I feel the water at my knees know
"Come"... and play they chant
beneath a watchful moon,
where a gently rocking sea awaits some unknown climax

- where siren sounds ring in the distance
like funeral bells, awaiting someone's end.

Author notes

Very spontaneous, just felt like venting after a long break from writing.

It's alright, just me writing :)

  • I do really like this, actually.
But, my favorite part is "As the moon gasped, and the sea smiled, and the mist made one final return
And the siren sounded, like a funeral bell blasting in my ears, ending it all."
    Absolutely stunning.

  • I'll keep this comment simple. You're the last drop of creativity we've all got, so keep writing, break the law of your passion. Don't let me down.
