The armor was shinny and the mind of cheer, a Knight named Day, was brilliantly gay. Knight Day was light on his feet. Clanging about in his suit of armor, only his stories were rusted. He'd tell tales of old, how he slewed mighty dragons, fables of jest at best. But Knight Day was the talk of the castle, when he saved Princess Evening in broad daylight.
'Twas a balmy day, in a land far away. The creatures communicated by telepathic thought. Knight Day knew he was in for a terrible fight, they knew his every move before he thought it. Quickly Knight Day realized, it would be better for him to think good thoughts. The creatures became known to him as Cantwaits from the land of Impatients. Everyone lived in such a hurry, running about, as if without reason. Turning here, running there, bumping into each other.
Knight Day suddenly burst into laughter and the Cantwaits all gathered round. The head Cantwait brought moss and sticks into the center of a large circle, bordered by three foot high stones of onyx color. Taking one stick in his right hand, the head Cantwait wrote in the sand. "My Name is Herefor You! And so is eveyone else.".
Amazed by the statement of Herefor You, Knight Day became more relaxed and a vision of beauty drifted toward him and he noticed it was Princess Evening. Princess Eveining approached Knight Day and she questioned; "How did you find me?". "The trail of your fragrance and footsteps, led me straight to here", said Knight Day. "What ever are you doing here my darling princess?", Knight Day asked. "I've run away from home dear knight, you know how mean my father is. My mother is of no help. She cowers in a corner, every time he opens his mouth. My heart lies in family but my family wishes no part of me. I've tried my hardest but am unable to please. I decided it was much better that I leave.". Said Princess Evening. "I was troubled by your absence and I had to find where you'd gone, because my heart has not stopped aching since I had seen you last.", Knight Day said. Princess Evening took the helmet from Knight Day's head and let the helmet fall to the ground. She wrapped her arms around Knight Day in a loving embrace and placed a gentle kiss upon his lips. Knight Day stepped back one step and knelt down on his left knee before her. Taking her right hand in his, he placed the right side of his face upon the backside of her hand. Then Princess Evening said, "I will forever hold you in my heart and my arms, arise and be my Prince!". The Prince arose and joined his Princess hand in hand.
The Cantwaits all began jumping up and down and waving their arms high in the air, and Herefor You pointed to Herefore You and suddenly she returned with a beautiful silvery white unicorn. Both Princess and her Prince road off into the sunrise because the evening had come and gone.
They road many days, eight to be exact, and finally arrived back at the castle in the world of Now, at the hour of one in the afternoon. Peasants and royal subjects all gathered to pay tribute to the return of Princess Evening. The Princess' mother, The Queen, told her of The King's passing. Heartbroken by the news, Princess Evening began to weep, because she never had the chance to say I'm sorry.
Then her mother said to the Princess, "now, now, my dear, you needn't be troubled. The time has come for you to take your rightful place in the kingdom. Though I be named the Queen, it was merely a title given, in honor of being your father's bride. You my darling daughter, you are The King's only living heir. Now come, take your place as Queen.".
The celebration was enormous and spared no expense, the finest quality of linens, oils, precious gems, gold and silver, the best wine served from wooden gold trimmed barrels, drawn into pitchers of cut rubies and emeralds, and poured into the purest crystal of glimmering diamond chalices. "Hail to the Queen" sung in rounds and everyone ending on "Long Live The Queen.", as the pipers and drummers performed magically before the audience, in garb suitable to The Queen. Knights showing their bravery in battles of the lances, and at day's end The New Queen proclaims this day to be known as Day's day, and the celebrations last into the night. The Day's have their happy ending and the once knight is now The King of The Castle.

A Lovely Story!!!
Hello my friend, You have penned a wonderful Knight's tale of legends and love. I do love the happy ending you have written for the Knight and the princess. Oh if only real life could end happily ever after. But alas, that only happens in faireytales.
This was such a pleasure to read dear friend.
Worth a few

Hugs and Smiles, Sandy

Oh Dear Angel;
You have the strength of all beloved heroins of The Holy Bible running through your veins, Adah Jephta's Daughter, Ruth, Queen Ester, Martha and Electa, each possessing a unique gift. But it is Martha who had direct contact with our Lord and Savior and one conversation inparticular after her brother Lazuras had died.
Four days after Lazuras' death Martha met Jesus and cried out, "Lord if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But I know that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee." Jesus said, "thy brother shall rise again." Martha said, "I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day." Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" As long as we walk circumspectly and uprightly in the Lord Jesus, we shall live through Lord Jesus. There is a happy ending.
Amen!

This is a great story with a great plot (I think thats the word for it. Either plot of storyline ) I did see a few errors though, but you are more experienced than me. In paragraph 2, line 3, realised should be spelled realized. And in the same line shouldn't "Cantwaits" be "Can'twaits"? In paragraph 3 in the first line should "round" be "around"? In paragraph 4, line 4 you are missing a quotation. Most of these seem like tyoes but I'm just trying to help and in that same paragraph do you mean "cowers" instead of "cowards"? and here: "I've run away from home dear knight, you know how mean my father is. My mother is of no help. She cowards in a corner, everytime he opens his mouth. My heart lies in family but my family wishes no part of me. I've tried my hardest but am unable to please. I decided it was much better that I leave.". Said Princess Evening." I dont think "Said" should be capitalized. That was all I could find but the story was great and I loved the ending. And thanks for the commenting on my story too.

I thank you for taking the time to read, comment and critique for it helps me stay humble. As far as the Name Cantwaits, it's a name, no need for an apostrophe. Yes Said should be capitalized because I chose to end the sentence before it rather than use a comma. See it does help to have another pair of eyes looking over your shoulder. I thank you young lady, my dear friend Sammy! I shall help you whenever you ask.
