Amorphous words rise up
in mockery of rhyme,
meander across the page
and slip formless
into recessive memory.
Broken couplets spin and stagger
headlong,
casting dust in every eye
that seeks
to read the dervish lines.
Elastic syllables they,
that stretched
taught and vigorous,
catapult mordant thoughts,
windage and elevation each computed,
upon the walls of personality –
which may then bulge and crumble
at the onslaught of such
suspect and laden words.
Such malevolent severity thus
penned on page does
pen up the mind
and leave all thoughts
tattered and undone.

For a poem poking fun at obscure language in poetry, it seemed fairly straightforward to interpret. Interesting write!

Very nice work
Well thought out. Windage was my favorite word. Well Done!

I think this is an exquisite and beautiful way of saying some very accurately and concisely constructed poetry is drivel. Am I right? So well expressed and written with balance and style. I love it.
