Spoons

Bladder full,
I got out of bed and ran-
not walked
to the bathroom.
Horrified, I shut the door.
It couldn't be, could it?
The bathroom floor was piled
with spoon upon spoon.
Heart racing, I wondered;
A horror movie?
A comedy?
What was I in?
Then I heard it;
The glorious sound
of my alarm clock
waking me up to
begin my day!
