Another Alice Poem

Have you noticed with tabbies
the wonderful way their front legs
are banded with darker markings?
Dark alternates with light.

Alice's markings are black and gold
but, although so self possessed,
she seems unconscious of the
details of her beauty

as she sits and looks at me,
so seriously but with
the suggestion of a smile
in the curve around her whiskers.

In a list

Do you like this, and if not, why not?

Funny I should gaze upon this fine write. My old gal, beautiful still, lies silent and sad. It breaks my old callous heart. Love. Amazing ay at times.

lol i think i have a cat like yours maybe they are twins lol

    • Cats have a lot in common with each other

but each has his or her invidual traits. Do you think tabbies tend to be a bit overweight? But then I have seen some who are slim too! I meet a lot of cats in my cat sitting job and I love them all. Alice is one of my own though. I don't know which is my fave, tabby or black. My other one is black and would be very jealous if she could see this!

      Thanks for your comments
