    I guess my question is...who is the diamond in the rough, you or someone else? If it's you, that is a sad poem, if it's someone else, someone you once thought highly of, but not so much now, well, that is life...no one has to remain friends forever.

    Assuming the poem is about you...we all have those low thoughts sometimes.
