Singing True Emotion

All of my emotions seem to rise
from the sounds of a single subtle song.
I feel pain and misery
happiness and joy
and I sing these emotions
so passionately
from the bottom of my heart
and the depths of my soul.

My thick outer shell
prevents me from truly,
expressing myself
to the fullest extent
so I sing and release
I throw caution to the wind
and I put my life and faith into another song.

Very few seem to understand
why I am within
such a heavy love affair
between music and myself.
Even with my interactions with people
I put my lonely and misunderstood soul
into the
thumping,
melodic,
and harmonious sounds of a life saving song.

If only you could feel
if only you could see
the emotions drawn from my heart
they are revealed
no longer concealed
out front for the world to see
but I don't think you'll ever understand.

I simply sit back to sing
and I watch the massive swarm of emotions
rise to the surface
whether it be
in the songs current context
or a long lost memory
I feel relieved
by the emotial release
that these songs have conceived.

Author notes

I was singing and listening to Sevendust and Tantric today and I could really feel the emotion of the vocalists. I feel something right now that is undefinable. It is no single emotion rather a combination of every emotion known. I was so scarred of an experience like this, but it feels so revitalizing and I realize that this is a feeling I've always wanted. I am done running away from my emotions because I love them.
Music is my only therapy. I listen to it and it almost seems as if it listens to me.
I hope you all enjoy and may you feel this feeling in your heart and soul as well.
BC.
