I found the shirt
In the back of my closet
I haven't worn it
Since the night you were here
It doesn't fit right
Though I don't think it ever did
Too tight here
And too loose there
But you didn't care
When I put it on
I thought I could smell you
Even still
Your scent lingering in the cloth
Wicked imagination
Playing tricks on me like that
But I took it off
And I folded it up
And I put it back
Hidden in the shadows
Out of sight
Where it can't plague me
Sometimes I wish I could do that
With my memories
Can I fold you up
And put you away
In some dark corner
So I won't think of you anymore
Please tell me what you think

Wow.... You know, I went through a scene like that a while ago... It was intense, just that feeling ccrashing over me. You really captured that in this poem. Brava, Mantis, absolutely brava!
Keep up the amazing work

I adore this Ashley. So much so, it inspired me to write a response.
