with that deep dark scream
as smooth as honey molasses

And I would belt that sugar out
with a soul sweet sting
that you could feel
in the pit of your gut
and the lonely side of your heart

You would never be the same

    I had this thought inside my head! I swear, sometimes when words aren't enough for expression, i've had this thought, this longing. You have this amazing ablitiy to connect to everybody with such grace.

    Etta James...At Last! Oh, how I love that song and that voice. Great choice in singers to write about. and I love the title...molten gold (the anthology on amazon has a music sampler...worth listening to)

    I can act like I can sing like Etta James. Wanna hear? No really! I tour with a show called "SANITGURL" and I portray her. She is a feisty elder. LOL "At Last" is one of my favorite songs in al the world. I like how you took us on this "if" journey. I bet if you set your mind and study her voice you could also "act as if you could be her". LOL I loved this and the visual art is stunning. This is truly sung in a blue note! I wish you well in the challenge.
