You were not the ordinary man of my dreams- the one with lovely locks of deep cinnamon umber and ecru skin.
You had flawed skin and coarse black hair that was untamed in summer's heat.
i.
The evening i let you into my bedroom had a aroma of mystery-
An effluvium of sun ripened peaches and cologne wove deeply into my sheets
and sounds slipped through the screen door as we moaned our secrets from sultry mouths.
We didn't sleep till dawn.
ii.
We mused in the garden of Claude Monet one day in early autumn.
I talked about how combustible I felt while you cooled the chasm of my casual fury.
That day, you astonished me for the two-hundred and fourth time
and for once, the tingle in my stomach did not leave a chilled aftertaste.
iii.
A glass of chenin blanc lubricated the moment before I accepted your hand.
Condensation dripped from our eyes like cold beverage glasses sitting on a warm table
and I kissed your cadaverous lips until blood seeped back into them.
I saw a glimpse of our future as we nodded off to sleep on the couch in your dimmed apartment.

I really should start reading the dictionary...
I thought you should know.
Even though this may or may not be how you intended it,
it was slightly...sexy.
I liked it, of course.
"That day I you astonished me for the two hundred and fourth time,"
Flowed much better than your original plan, except you could put "two-hundred and fourth" just for punctuation.
