Changing Seasons

It's warming up,
time to put the Winter woolies away 'till next year.
You can't wait until Summer, when it's nice and warm.

You know it's Spring when you hear the baby birds chirping
and the lambs baaing.
You see them totter about on tiny new legs.

The baby animals grow up
and the beach fills with tourists.
The air gets slowly warmer.
Soon it's so hot you can't wait 'till Winter.

It is now getting colder and you are glad that Summer is over. You see maple leaves on the ground. You crunch through them on your way to school.

You get out the hats and scarves.

Soon everything dies off.

You listen...

No chirping, no baaing, no mooing...

...Absolute Silence.

    welcome to allpoetry

I like to read nature poems of the seasons...
the picture you added at the top adds to your piece. More emotion.
The ending is really great. Very nicely done.
    Good luck in your contest.
I hope you will keep writing and sharing your words.
