Deception

People have so little perception,
Why can’t they see my smile is a witty deception?
I feel these emotions with unwilling reception…
I simply want to feel a little connection
When I talk to someone, to see a slight reflection…
Have someone near me and them not need protection,
To not have so many guards on my mind, with bloodthirsty retention.
To not have this thirst, this insane intention…
To put someone’s life in permanent suspension,
I have to focus, to pay attention,
To keep up this extreme circumvention
Should I even care to mention
Just to ease the tension?
Someone help, I need intervention…
No one pays any attention
To these inventions,
They are hidden behind a mirage of deception.
