On Veterans Day we honour
Soldiers who protect our nation
For their service as our warriors
They deserve all our admiration
Some of them were drafted
Some of them were volunteers
For some it was just yesterday
For some it's been many years
In the jungle or the desert
On foreign lands or on the sea
They did whatever was assigned
So they could produce a victory
Some came back and some didn’t
They defended us everywhere
Some saw combat some rode a tank
Each one of them did their share
Let each and every veteran be honoured
Don’t let any politics get in the way
Without them freedom would have died
What they did we can never repay
We really owe our soldiers so much
They kept us safe from harm and terror
So whenever we see a soldier in uniform
We will say "Thank You" to every wearer
