I remember the curl of your mouth
When I’d return back home with wine
You’d say the presentation needed work
But the selection was divine
On Saturday the morning sun
Would decorate your hair
I could almost trace your silhouette
There beside your favorite chair
My conversation is all but gone
In each room your pictures hang
The breakfast nook is ever still
And I miss the way you sang
I sincerely hope you hear me
As I still tell you goodnight
Do you know I feel you near me
When I stand in your sunlight
As long as I am pacing
And speaking to you quite alone
I feel I must discuss a tale
That I received by telephone
The neighbor’s kid, Samantha
Said, while looking for her ball
Looked through an open window
And saw a floating towel just fall
She said a splash of wine had settled
In that very moment too
And the outline of a woman swept
Away and looked like you
Perhaps I am just crazy, Dear
Yet the story was sublime
And if a way exists to happen by
You can visit any time
