Will our memory last?
Will we be remembered on our sacred day?
We fought for the freedom of this country,
Though for some of us it meant our lives,
For others it meant the country's ever lasting gratitude.
Throughout time,
We stayed strong,
Kept on fighting,
'Till the end.
For those who remember,
We will be forever grateful,
For you who remember keep us still in our beds,
Or our graves.
We see no need to be restless,
For you care and respect us.
For those who don't remember,
You keep us up at night,
Rolling in our beds,
Or in our graves.
You don not respect us,
Don't care if it wasn't for us,
You wouldn't be here.
The poppies that lay on your heart,
Show us you respect us.
