Darting, dashing, diving
Like dragonflies flitting
Bubbles from their descent slowly rising
Swirling in the current
Like dragonflies flitting
Fins flash, flickering in the dark
Swirling in the current
Clustered together for protection
Fins flash, flickering in the dark
Lovesick sailors sail onwards
Clustered together for protection
From sirens’ captivating gazes
Lovesick sailors sail onwards
Towards certain doom
From sirens’ captivating gazes
Songs of love through the water sing
Towards certain doom
Tiniest fish swim unaware
Songs of love through the water sing
As the mighty whale disappears to ocean depths
Tiniest fish swim unawares
Darting, dashing, diving
As the mighty whale disappears to ocean depths
The bubbles from her descent slowly rising
Author notes
I'm studying marine biology- the ocean is my muse. And I feel that the ocean with it's constant cycling nature is perfect for a pantoum!
