Sissy, where are you?
Our other sister won't tell me.
Sister, I miss you,
even though we've never met.
I know you were given up,
and placed in a new home.
You and mom lost contact and
lost each other in that process.
Would you ever want to meet your mother?
Why do you blame her so?
Please forgive mom
and be happy you have a baby sister.
I keep imagining the day we meet...
I wonder if she would accept me.
I hope so because
family is all I have left.
Author notes
I thought to post how adoption has actually affected my life. I suppose this falls into the general category.

Oh, I can't imagine not knowing where my sister was......I found out I had one when I found my biological family. I am so blessed. Maybe one day you'll find her and your heart will be whole again. I wish that for you. Thanks so much for entering my contest and for honoring me with a show of your work.
