My Thanks to Him

I give thanks to the One
who has brought my life
so much joy, happiness
and delight.

He gives me sunshine
to brighten my day
He gives me rainbows
to light my way

He gives me water to
quench my thirst
He gives me so much joy
I am about to burst

He lifts me up
when I fall down
He will not let me
in my sorrows drown

I will not forget to give Him thanks
or give Him credit where credit is due
and in return He
gives me love oh so true

    I really like that you say Him, rather than God. This allows for several people to relate to this. If a poem is too specific, it becomes difficult to feel a personal connection. This is nice and generic, but not in a bad way. Easily relatable and a good message. Once again, well done.
