You Make a Better Door Than Window

I'm sitting here
upon my rear
filling my head
with nothing much
Here I be
watching t.v.
and then you come
talking and such

You stand and block
just like a rock
the characters
I can't see
I'll miss the show
why can't you go?
but you never move
away from me

The show's nearly done
i had no fun
for I never saw
but a wink
Now I'm standing here
no longer on my rear
only waiting
on the brink

Took care of you
and now I'm through
watching t.v.
and I want you to know
Although I love you
I've got to tell you
you're a better door
than window

This is for a contest but also true I get so annoyed when this happens! My cliché is "You make a better door than window."

    Woah. I'm completely serious, you're a LOT better than me, and you should SOO get published!! I'm sure many people would love to read your poetry, as I certainly do. It's hard to believe you could be so good at poetry while you're just 13 years old. Your rhyming is perfect and I completely adore the pattern you use each time. Whenever I see you wrote a new poem, I get excited because your poetry is always fresh. I could read it over and over again. You are a mighty poetess!!
    Thank you for sharing I completely fell in love with this poem. I think I'll bookmark it.

    HI, thank you so much enetring this excellent write... I loved it, and as you told your story I was held captive... the last lines being a bitter ending... Cliche or not.. I found this very fresh...

      I know it but u should branch out. I mean when was the last time you saw a movie or show where the characters were real people and didn't have to be built by a computer???

        let see the last time I saw real characters on a tv would be last week and a movie would be the year of 2000

    I don't really watch TV, it gets boring. I read, draw, write, or play music. The only show that I watch is Ghost Hunters, and sometimes Friends. When I'm watching one of my favirte shows, and my brother gets in the way. I get so angry at him, He better be careful when I'm watching my show, and he knows it. Yeah, he does it to my anyway everytime I sit to watch my show. He enjos my reaction. Funny poem. I like it!!!

      Lol that's funny. You should try the show, "A Haunting", on Discovery Channel. It's too scary for me (It gives me nightmares ) but I think you'd like it. It's usually on from 3-4 (p.m., lol) on weekdays, but you can probably buy it in iTunes.
