The poets pen now marks the page
Thus setting free what once was caged
Now penning out the inks of time
Writing words so unique, sublime
These liquid writings of the heart
Letting this talent never part
Expressing moments of your life
Your heartache, love, or even strife
The heart and soul thus pouring out
Rhyming sequences taking route
A masterpiece begins to show
With perfect words that smoothly flow
Emotions pour like drops of rain
Flowing onto the page a stain
Showing the beauty from within
Writing out times of now and then
Casting the words of dark and light
Penning your soul into the night
Emotions of the heart do show
May poets ink forever flow
