I sit and long for the place
of my childhood days,
where memories linger
and happiness stays.
Me and my six sisters
in a nice big house,
when I was married
I brought in my spouse.
I even had children
of my own in that place,
still there with family
that gave us some space.
We would still get together
my sisters and me,
we'd talk about life
and the way it used to be.
We'd introduce friends
and games we would play,
through good and bad
we handled each day.
When we all had to move
we realized its worth,
I lived in that house
since the day of my birth.
We have many stories
of much that occured,
throughout our lives
there's much to be heard.
It was a home of love
with dear family nearby,
we didn't want to move
but we had to say goodbye.
We had all gotten older
with children and spouse,
but I still miss the comfort
of my childhood house.
