Cruising down the highway
passing all the trucks
Wipers beating madly
in this weather fit for ducks
The rain soon turns to drizzle
the sun starts shining through
The wind blows all the clouds away
at last the sky is blue
My family seems to sense this
as they begin to wake
They all look out the window
to see a sparkling lake
The tires sing a new song
as the road begins to dry
I push down the accelerator
and we begin to fly
We’ve been on the road for hours
and I know they’re going to ask
I just drive on patiently
for driving is my task
I know they’re going to ask me
‘tis a fact... no need to bet
Here it comes...just listen
“Hey Dad... RV there yet?”
