Notions of Valor

Hearts endure euphoria, realizing captive holds
trapped within futile bonds transcribed in gold
confined shackled restraints of glorious terrain
still vowed love, lust, and heartaches remain

durations squander the thoughts of the one lost
harpooned by destiny, the one I cherished most
decayed notions of valor they once proclaimed
lost causes unjustified without mention of names

forgotten love, colored the snow in deep red
I saw death sparkle in eyes but the words unsaid
contained, submerged in desperate nights alone
longing tears at hearts as hatred produces clones

deep anxiety compels this lost Loves separation
no longer can I contain, groveling in desperation
this throbbing heart must push away, casting goodbyes
like the Skies temperance as birds are released to fly
