the stimulating scent of ink,
tantalizing textures of the paper,
and the fantastic feeling of freedom
of the wondrous written word
in this splendid space I escape
I have infinite independence
through my creative communiqué
for this, I am absolutely grateful
to struggle through to the finish
and finally identify and convey
the impressions that cascade
throughout my consciousness
to know I can articulate
the often reflective ramblings
within the core of heart and soul
is an awe-inspiring feeling
to get these intense imaginings
out of my mind and onto the page
is an amazing sensation of success
that only other writers understand
the act of writing is for me, liberating
in the calm of the day, I sit, I reflect,
I immerse myself in thought and I write
defiant to any who would disquiet me

Yes, I understand! I relate! I totally feel the frustration of such a long time spent without putting pen to paper in a creative sense (or purring finger to keyboard as the case may be ).
The only comment I have is that I think "is a amazing" should be "is an amazing"

I had such a hard time recently finding words that were worthy of paper, and now I have finally started to flow again.
